Your profile picture is the one image of your channel that shows up everywhere: in chat, on Discord, in comments, in raids. The animated version means something alive inside that small circle — a mascot that blinks, a chrome logo that turns, a light that breathes.

Even though Twitch and Kick show it static, the animated PFP works inside stream screens (Starting Soon corner, chat box header, alerts) and on socials; the static frame is produced from the same source, so the identity stays consistent.
Production rules
- 1080×1080 master. Every version is downscaled from this square; the silhouette still reads at 128 pixels.
- Circular safe area. Corners get cropped; motion stays inside the circle.
- Perfect loop. First and last frames identical; motion closes on a sine or cyclic curve. A 2–4 second loop is ideal.
- Little but continuous motion. A blink, gliding light, a soft breath; fast, large motion becomes noise at small scale.
- Size limits. Discord 10 MB; for 256-colour GIF the palette is optimised (controlled dithering). WebP usually ends up at a third of the GIF.
Process
- Source: existing logo / mascot / portrait. If there is none, the channel character is designed first (channel identity guide).
- Motion language: one idea from the channel theme — for Aurcorf the fox's eye narrowing and moonlight; for a chrome logo, light gliding across metal.

A profile picture repeats forever; a jump at the loop point catches the eye every 2–3 seconds. In a perfect loop the first and last frames are identical and the motion flows without a seam — Creatune's engine closes the loop mathematically.
