Logo intro animation: how long it should be, what it costs, and the stream vs brand difference

Before commissioning a logo animation (logo intro / logo reveal): ideal length, streamer intro vs corporate intro, the link to stingers, sound design, delivery formats (MP4, alpha WebM, GIF) and what drives the price.

Green neon logo intro — Starting Soon screen opening with light leaks and rhythmic glitch

A logo intro is the animation in which a brand or channel introduces itself in 3–6 seconds. For streamers it is the heart of the Starting Soon screen; for YouTubers, the first seconds of a video; for brands, the closing signature of ads and presentations. The green neon intro and the KORVEX opener are this kind of work.

How many seconds?

Use Length Why
YouTube video opener ≤5 s viewers skip at second 5
Inside Starting Soon 3–6 s, tied into the loop the logo "breathes", the screen stays looping
Stinger transition 0.7–1.5 s plays on every scene switch
Instagram / TikTok end card 2–3 s signature; with sound
Corporate presentation / ad end 4–8 s room for tagline + logo + address

One logo animation usually yields three versions: long (intro), short (signature) and stinger. They share one motion language; making them together is both cheaper and more consistent. Stinger details: What is a stinger transition?

Streamer intro vs corporate intro

  • Streamer: energy, rhythm, sound. Light leaks, glitch, particles, camera shake. The logo usually lands with a "hit". Tied to the channel theme: neon, moonlight, cartoon.
  • Corporate: calm, clear, one idea. A motion derived from the logo's own geometry (a line draws, letters line up, a form closes). Palette and typography locked to the brand guide. Tagline and web address on the last frame.

One rule for both: the logo stays still and readable on the last frame for at least 1 second.

Sound design

As important as the picture. Whoosh → impact → tail; the sound's hit lands on the same frame the logo arrives. We use royalty-free libraries or synthesis; for streamer intros the audio is also delivered as a separate layer so it can mix with the streamer's own copyright-safe music.

Technique and delivery

  • 2D motion (After Effects / Remotion): fastest and cleanest; ideal if the logo is vector.
  • 3D (Blender): chrome, glass, metal logos; light gliding across the logo. Giant mascots and 3D lettering live here.
  • Simulation / particles: fire, smoke, liquid — attention-grabbing, longer timelines.

Delivery: MP4 (1080p/4K, 60 fps), alpha WebM / ProRes 4444 (on top of overlays), GIF and image sequence (web), WAV audio. Project source on request.

What sets the price

Length, technique (2D / 3D / simulation), number of versions (long + short + stinger), sound design, revision rounds and delivery speed. Send the logo file (SVG/AI preferred) and where it will be used on WhatsApp and you get a quote within 24 hours. In the stream packages the intro comes as part of the animated screens: Stream packages. Other video work: Video.

Frequently asked

1.How long should a logo intro be?

3–6 seconds for stream and social media; at most 5 seconds as a YouTube video opener (viewers start skipping at second 5); 4–8 seconds for corporate presentations and ad end cards. For use as a stinger, a separate version under one second is made.

2.How much does a logo animation cost?

It depends on length, technique (2D motion, 3D, particles/simulation) and sound design; at Creatune logo intros are quoted per project and come inside the stream packages (Deluxe and Ultimate) as part of the animated screens. Send your logo on WhatsApp and you get a firm number within 24 hours.

3.Can you make an intro if I have no logo?

Yes — a logo is designed first to fit the channel name and character, then the animation is built. Designing logo and animation together gives a more natural result than adding motion to an existing logo later.

4.What formats do you deliver?

MP4 (H.264, 1080p/4K, 60 fps) for general use; alpha WebM or ProRes 4444 for use on top of overlays; GIF and image sequences for social and web. Audio also delivered as a separate WAV.
