murat.scc: neon purple-green identity and a countdown Starting Soon on Kick — case study

Case study: for Kick streamer murat.scc, a character derived from the streamer's own portrait, a purple-green neon palette, a wing emblem, channel icon, banner, offline screen, overlay, seven panels, six emotes and an animated Starting Soon screen with a custom countdown.

murat.scc channel icon and banner — neon purple-green, headphone portrait and wing logo

Channel art on Kick is less standardised than on Twitch, so a tidy set makes a channel stand out immediately. The identity we built for murat.scc is a character drawn from the streamer's own face and a language made of two colours. The project page is on the site; here we explain the decisions.

1. Character: a stylised portrait, not a mascot

This is a personality channel — reactions, chat, games. On channels like this, the emote being the streamer's face raises belonging. The portrait was drawn stylised: curly hair, headphones, beard, black hoodie and the channel emblem on the chest. The same line was carried into six emotes: thumbs up, laugh, wink + point, thinking, rage, "okay".

As the logo, a wing emblem independent of the portrait was built — in the background of the profile icon, large on the banner, a small title mark on panels, at the top of the overlay. Portrait in large spaces, emblem in small ones: the "both" answer to character or emblem.

2. Palette: purple main, green accent, black ground

Kick's interface is green. If green alone were the channel colour it would vanish into the UI; with purple as main, green as accent, black ground it separates and keeps the neon "gaming" feel. The same order in every piece: purple left/top, green right/bottom, a light transition between them.

3. The pieces

  • Channel icon — portrait, purple-green neon ring, emblem behind. Sits fully in the circle.
  • Banner — a desk scene: neon-lit room, big "murat.scc" in purple-green grunge lettering on the right, "GAME. FOCUS. WIN. REPEAT." at the top. The channel tagline appears here for the first time.
  • Offline screen — the portrait pointing, "OFFLINE — the stream is currently offline", a "GAME OVER" neon sign in the corner. The character is on screen even when there is no stream.
  • Overlay — purple-yellow/green neon frame, emblem at the top, particles in the corners; centre empty.
  • Panels — seven panels, the same capsule frame, each with icon + emblem: About, Instagram, Gear, Donate, Discord, Rules, TikTok.
  • Animated Starting Soonvideo: neon light glide, the emblem breathing, countdown from 5:00. Loop + a separate timer layer.

4. Typography

Bold, slightly slanted grunge letters for the channel name (banner and offline); cleaner uppercase italic for panel titles — both give a sense of "speed", but readability leads on the panels.

5. Kick-specific notes

  • Banner delivered at 1920×1050 (Kick minimum 1280×700), channel name in the safe area.
  • Offline 1920×1080; profile 512×512.
  • Panels 320 px; Kick is forgiving, but kept to the Twitch standard so the same set works if the platform changes.

In today's structure this set sits between Starter and Deluxe; the Kick package with setup included is Starter (1,499 TL). For your own Kick channel, write on WhatsApp. Kick sizes and setup order: Kick stream design.

Frequently asked

1.What is in the murat.scc set?

Channel icon (portrait + neon ring), Kick banner, offline screen, camera overlay, seven panels (About, Instagram, Gear, Donate, Discord, Rules, TikTok), six emotes and an animated Starting Soon screen with a custom countdown. Delivered at Kick sizes.

2.Why a portrait rather than a mascot?

The channel revolves around the streamer's own personality; an emote that is his face strengthens the bond viewers feel in chat. The portrait was drawn stylised (headphones, hoodie, beard) and carried into six expressions; a separate wing emblem was built as the logo.

3.Doesn't purple-green neon clash with Kick's green?

Green alone would clash; paired with purple on a black ground the channel separates from the Kick interface. The main colour is purple, green is the accent — that order is deliberate.

4.How does the countdown screen work?

The animated Starting Soon plays as a loop; the countdown is a separate layer running down from 5 minutes. Set up in OBS with a Media Source (loop) plus a timer; a setup note is included in the delivery.
